Scripture Praying

Fasting and long hours of prayer do not build faith. Reading books about faith and men of faith and their exploits stir in the heart a deep passion for faith, but does not build faith. The Word alone is the source of faith”- EW Kenyon.

The only reality is God’s word. Sometimes our circumstances seem to be contrary to God’s word. If God’s word says that you can be healed of your sickness, then believe it more than you believe the doctor’s report. I’m not saying that symptoms are concocted in the mind psychologically. What I’m saying is that we can believe God to do what he said he would do.

In this stage, we pray the scriptures. We speak to God what he is speaking to us. It is so important to memorize scripture that you can use in your prayer. Memorize scriptures that tell you about you. That tell you about God. That tell you about your friends and your family. That tells you how to fight sin and that tells you how to love God. In this stage of prayer, speak from your heart, what God has planted through his word.

The army trains its soldiers by repetition. The soldiers do things over and over and over until it is second-nature. That way when they get into the heat of battle, their reflex will not be something wrong, but what they have been trained. Train yourself with the Word. Make it your reflex in battle.
