Have you ever heard someone say, “God is here, I can feel Him”? You’ve probably even experienced times in your life that you felt like God was a lot closer to you than at other times. Sometimes, in those moments, I even get certain feelings or goosebumps or even a tingling in my body. The truth is, though, that God is no closer in those moments than He is right now. He is everywhere completely and that means that He can’t be somewhere more at one time than He is…read more

Prayer is one of the best ways to work out a muscle that most people don’t even know that they have- your spirit. You are made up of a body, a soul and a spirit. Without going into too much detail, your spirit is where you connect with God. It’s also where God connects with you. To be spirit-led means to live your life listening and responding to God. He’s always talking, but most of the time we haven’t trained our spirit to hear Him. Have you ever started working…read more

Matthew 6:9 “Our Father who lives in heaven…” Six loaded words. Six words that can make your head spin if you just think about them for a few minutes. I love my kids. After being beat up by the school bullies, Daniel Son finally convinces to Mr. Miyagi to train him in karate. He shows up at Mr. Miyagi’s home on day 1 and is instructed to paint a fence. For hours he paints a fence with his mentor guiding his form- up down, up down. After…read more

Mount Hood is located in Northern Oregon close to Portland. The mountain peak is about two miles above sea level. At higher elevations you are supposed to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated- something about being way up high can dehydrate you. So take a spare I.V. next time you go mountain climbing. Mount Hood is a stratovolcano which means that every time it erupts, a new layer of hardened lava forms and the mountain grows. I guess you learn something knew everyday, huh? The problem is that…read more
